Keshav Khadka, the 30-year-old bus driver who hit the Deusi-Bhailo team in Udayathati of Bhumikasthan Municipality 5 and 6, has been sent to pretrial detention by District Court Arghakhanchi.

On October 19, the artistes who were playing Deusibhailo in Udayathati were hit by a bus number 2471 driven by Khadka of Pyuthan Mallarani Rural Municipality-4 Kaseri. 2 people died in the accident and 35 people were injured. 

In the accident, 70-year-old Rooney Khanal of Bhumikasthan Municipality-1 Dhakawang died on the spot and 22-year-old Tara Shrestha died at Arghakhanchi Hospital during treatment. After the incident, the driver Khadka, who was absconding, was arrested by the police and prosecuted. DSP Chakra Bahadur Malla, Chief of District Police Office Arghakhanchi, said that the Arghakhanchi court has remanded him in jail for the preliminary investigation.
