On November 22 and 23, the second orange festival will be held at Rainadevi Chhahara-5, Muzung Katoujepani, Palpa. The festival is going to be a joint project of Ribdikot and Rainadevi Chhahara Rural Municipality.
Information was given in a press conference held in Tansen on Wednesday that the festival is going to be held for the purpose of promoting oranges as well as marketing and diversification. Dan Bahadur Kunwar, Ward Chairman of Ribdikot Rural Municipality-7, Palungmainadi, said that the festival will be fruitful to support the farmers of the orange pocket area in promoting the market of oranges. Rainadevi Chhahara Rural Municipality Chairman Rukmangat Bhattarai said that it is believed that the
festival will help in the promotion of oranges produced by orange farmers. Narayan Bahadur Karki, Chairman of Ribdikot Rural Municipality, said that the festival will increase the production of oranges, market management, diversify the dishes made from oranges, and help in garden management.
Speaking at the press conference, the head of District Coordination Committee Palpa, Tankanath Khanal, emphasized that the festival should take initiatives to solve the farmers' problems and pay attention to marketing. Lekhnath Pokharel, Chief Administrative Officer of Ribdikot Rural Municipality, said that there will be 25 stalls in the festival and measures will be taken to manage diseases and insects along with oranges produced by farmers.
