Lumbini Provincial Government and Sichuan Provincial Government of China will cooperate in tourism promotion.

Chief Minister of Lumbini Province, Chetnarayan Acharya, who arrived in China to participate in the international conference organized by the Government of Sichuan Province, said that there will be cooperation between the two provincial governments of Nepal and China in promoting tourism. Kushal Bhusal, a member of the visiting party and chief private secretary of the Chief Minister, said that the friendship between the provincial governments of the two countries will be renewed and cooperation will be exchanged. 

The goal is to bring Chinese tourists to Lumbini, the birthplace of Gautama Buddha, and to other tourist spots in the state. The state government has introduced the concept of 'Lumbini Tourism Circuit' to take local and foreign tourists to the tourist destinations of all the 12 districts of Lumbini. According to Bhusal, while observing the Giant Panda Breed Center in Chhendu, China on Wednesday, Chief Minister Acharya initiated and discussed about arranging a direct flight from Chhendu in Sichuan to Bhairahawa in Lumbini. 

He said that the achievements and learnings achieved by China in the field of tourism will be followed by the Lumbini state government and tourism promotion activities will be carried forward. To make the tourism circuit in Lumbini successful  Chief Minister Acharya believes that learning and experience from China will help more.  A 7-member team including Acharya has also visited Chendu International Railway Port in China.
