Locals are excited after the government announced three rural places in the country as new rural tourist destinations, including the Timure area of ​​Gulmi and the 'Timure Community Homestay', which they have protected themselves. "Timure Community Homestay" of Gulmi is known as the main tourist area of ​​the district. The local government has been promoting tourism by declaring a community homestay in 2076 to a picturesque natural lake at an altitude of 1956 meters above sea level and a village with Magarbasti near it .

Chairman of Chandrakot Rural Municipality Yuvraj KC said that Timure Community Homestay has been associated with the tourism village since the year the government announced it in collaboration with the Tourism Board and Tourism Promotion Forum. "After the Nepal Tourism Board announced the Timure area as a new tourist destination, domestic tourists have started to increase in Timure," he said, "The Timure area can become the best tourist destination in Gulmi district." He said that it will make them excited, capable and sophisticated. 

Timure community homestay is connecting the visitors to the real Nepali rural lifestyle, food and cultural arts and culture and after the announcement of the government, the rural lifestyle will also be connected to the city, said young Sushil Pun, the owner of the homestay. "Maybe because of the Dasain holiday, more than 100 new tourists have come to Timure in the last 15 days," he said, "The message of the new rural tourist destination announced by the Nepal Tourism Board has made us more excited and responsible."

Timure Lake is located at a distance of about 7 km from Shantipur, the center of Gulmi's Chandrakot rural municipality, and is spread over an area of ​​2400 square meters. The water that remains in the same shape and surface for 12 months on the mountain without any spring or source of water has attracted the attention of many people. From the shore of the lake in the higher part, along with the view of different areas of Gulmi district, various glaciers are also visible. Bal Bahadur Basnet, the ward chairman of Chandrakot rural municipality-4 and consultant of Timure community homestay, said that Timure Lake is becoming an attractive tourist destination in the district. "Timurey is a natural scenic tourist spot," he said, "Timurey Lake can also be a research topic for those who work in the field of environment." There is no dense forest around the lake. Instead there are only empty hills . There are no springs of water. There is no source of water from any other place. However, he said that the lake, spread over 2400 square meters, has water up to a depth of about 4 feet.
