Press Center Nepal, Banke branch, presented the Krishnasen Ishq Memorial Journalism Award for the year 2082 to senior journalist Peter at a program organized here on Saturday on the occasion of the center's 22nd founding day.
Press Center Nepal Central Secretary Man Bahadur BK, Central Member Siraj Khan and Former Central Member Dr. Dr. Prasad Dhital jointly presented the award of Rs 30,000 to senior journalist Peter.
Journalist Peter recalled the time and experiences he spent with the late Krishnasen Ishq, saying that the center had honored him and given him a great responsibility. He said that people-oriented journalism is still not what it should be and pointed out the need to produce skilled human resources to strengthen people-oriented journalism.
Press Center Nepal Central Secretary BK informed that senior journalist Peter was selected for this award only after much discussion and deliberation. Former Central Member Dr. Dhital said that the center had done an excellent job by honoring journalists who have been doing journalism for a long time.
