'Let's Talk', which has been running a dialogue series on literature and other social issues, organized a literature festival program in Narangad on Saturday.
Coordinator Akash Poudel said that the festival was organized under the program's hundred series. The program discussed poetry, free verse and ghazals, as well as various aspects of literature and society.
The program, which began with a scholarly discourse by Prem Rimal, a famous personality of Chitwan, for his thought-provoking speech, Lekharam Sapkota spoke about reading literature and its market in Chitwan. Then Pramila Sanu had a conversation with Kamal Sangharsh regarding ghazals. After ghazals, it was the turn of short stories.
Balkrishna Thapaliya asked writer Amar Neupane about 'Nepali short stories and reader psychology'. Saru Lamichhane and Parvesh Chapagain brainstormed about free verse. Ek Narayan Paudyal brought out Nayan Raj Pandey's experiences on the subjects of happiness and sorrow in literary writing. Gopi Sapkota, who was in conversation with Bhupin Khadka, debated on 'The Flight of Poetry and Bhupin'.
Let's Talk started its first series on Jestha Eka, 2078 BS. Coordinator Akash Poudel said that when it came to the hundredth series, it had poetry readings, book reviews, as well as debates on various topics related to society and economy. He says that the campaign, which was started by five friends to see if some new programs could be done online, has now taken a large shape.
