This year's Jagadish Ghimire Memorial Award has been presented to writer Pawan Alok. Last year, the same award was presented to writer Mina Chaulagain.

The award was presented at the 11th Jagadish Ghimire Memorial Literary Assembly, Oratory Competition and Award Distribution Ceremony in Manthali on Saturday.

The foundation has stated that since the awards could not be announced last year, both the writers were honored at the same ceremony this time. The foundation has been distributing awards every year to writers and journalists who have made significant contributions to the field of literature and journalism. Earlier, Manu Brazaki, Rochak Ghimire and others have received this award.

An oratory competition was organized between writers and students at the program. The foundation stated that the competition was conducted with the aim of increasing interest in literature and the art of expression in the new generation. Writers from all over the country including the district participated in the program. The foundation, established by senior writer Jagadish Ghimire while he was still alive, has been continuing its literary campaign.
