A poetry reality show, 'Mero Kavita: The Rhythm of Poetry', is set to begin in Damak, Jhapa, with the aim of showcasing the talents of emerging Nepali poets.
The program, which is being produced under the presentation of My Platform, is being directed by Keval Chhetri, while Pavitra Rai is handling the responsibility of assistant director. About 250 poets participated in the
digital audition. The production team made public the list of the final 50 poets selected from them. After that, 25 poets were selected for the final round by making those 50 poets participate in a physical audition. Two contestants will be eliminated every week in the
competition, and at the end, one poet will be declared the winner of ‘Mero Kavita: The Rhythm of Poetry’. The judges of the
program include poets Heman Yatri, Suman Smarika, Uttam Tumsa Limbu, and Anjat Dadi. Poets Chandra Gurung, Sundar Kurup, Gagan Yokpangden, and Suman Lingden are participating as mentors. The program will be hosted by journalist Suman Kurumbang.
The production team has stated that the reality show of this poem, which is being shot in the Damak-Beldangi area of Jhapa, will go on air from January 18, i.e. Magh 4.
