The four parts of the collection include forty poems written on contemporary love, separation, hope, despair, social justice, rebellion, self-respect and other topics. In the
program, Chancellor Rai said that KC's poems are as sweet as the wind blowing gently. Stating that poet KC's poems are excellent from a reader's perspective, he said, 'Poetry is basically understanding, not interpretation. It is reader's, not critical. I do not create another theory of poetry saying that it should have been like this in a place where it was. Poet KC's poems are capable of this.' Rai said that poet KC rose above theory, scripture and grammar and wrote poems like the cry of the oppressed in 'Bagavatnama'.
Analyst Ahuti made critical comments on the collection and said, 'Literature is for society and a political, social and ideological perspective is necessary in literature.' He argued that literature should be written from the perspective of the working class, stating that the middle class cannot carry the current ideology.
Essayist and journalist Deepak Sapkota said that poet KC is a serious voice of contemporary poetry. ‘Poetry always begins with love, but that love is not always gentle.’ Sometimes love is a question, sometimes a rejection, and sometimes a resistance. ‘Bagavatnama’ is a book that stands on this dialectical ground,’ he said, ‘where love and resistance are not alternatives to each other, but rather deep possibilities of each other.’ Sapkota said that ‘Bagavatnama’ contains simple, yet insightful poems.
Poet Mali said that KC’s poems are capable and capable of creating debate in contemporary poetry. ‘The poet has shown the society a good path through a contemporary voice,’ Mali said.
Poets Swapnil Smriti, Prajwal Adhikari, Suraj Rana, Asmita KC and Meera GM recited poems from ‘Bagavatnama’ at the program.
The book ‘Bagavatnama’, published by publishing house Indigo Inc, is priced at Rs 549.
