Bhirkot Pokhara Samipya Sadan has honored four people from Syangja who have made significant contributions in various fields. The individuals who have contributed to education, social service, agriculture and literature were honored on Saturday under the organization's Muna-Krishna Award Distribution-2082.
The honorees are Krishna Adhikari of Bhirkot from the agriculture sector, Pitambar Sharma of Andhikhela Rural Municipality from the education sector, Chhayaram Khanal, former mayor of Bhirkot Municipality who built the Chhoredada Kamdhenu Gaushala, was honored for social service, and Bishwaprem Adhikari from Putalibazaar Municipality was honored for literature.
The four honorees were honored with a medal and a certificate by Bindu Kumar Thapa, Minister for Social Development, Youth and Sports of the Gandaki Province Government. The honorees were selected by a three-member award selection committee headed by Dil Bahadur Chhetri. The committee has stated that the individuals in all four categories were selected based on various criteria.
