The 'Insight Award', established by Dr. Kamal Lamichhane in 2077 BS, has been announced in three categories for 2082 BS.

The award was announced by the Insight Award Committee on the occasion of the 34th International Day of Persons with Disabilities, December 3, 2025, with the aim of changing society's existing negative, discriminatory and prejudiced perceptions and thinking towards disabilities and moving forward together, accepting the self-respect and identity of all with equality, coexistence and cooperation, the press release said.

Similarly, the Insight Hand in Hand Award will be awarded to Prasikha Bhattarai, a student studying in grade 8 of Laboratory Secondary School in Kathmandu.
