Khemlal Harikala Lamichhane Foundation has issued a statement and said that creator Bhusal's 'Chalbato' vividly covers serious issues such as the flow of Karnali, border security, local settlements, climate change, wildlife, hydroelectricity and displacement in the journey through Kailash Mansarovar to the source of Karnali in Tibet and the Ganges in India.

Foundation, informed that the extended list of the two hundred and three books of Nepali literature received by the foundation was published on June 15th and the best short list was published on July 15th.
Foundation has been awarding the Padma Shri Literary Award to the best works of Nepali literature since 2063.
It is also mentioned in the statement that the Padma Shri Sadhna Samman, which is given to a long-time seeker who has made an excellent contribution to the field of Nepali literature, music and art, this year, has been decided to be presented to Rama Sharma, the president of the Nepali Education Council.
Devoted his entire life to the promotion of language, literature, culture and art, Rama Sharma has published about two dozen books including research, criticism, biography, essay, language, children's literature.
Similarly, it has been decided to award the 'Padma Shri Gaurav Award' to Prof. Dr. Abhinarayan Subedi this year for his outstanding contributions in various fields of society. About three dozen works of Prof. Dr. Subedi, an essayist, critic, linguist, dramatist, translator and poet who writes in both Nepali and English languages, have been published.
The amount of these awards is three lakhs in cash and certificate. President Lamichhane said that these awards and honors will be presented on the day of Kojagrat Poornima.
