A 17-member academic institute has been formed to highlight the cultural heritage of Madi, in which members from various fields have participated.

Pragya Pratishthan has been formed in Madi Municipality. Chandramani Mahato (CM Apil Chitoune) is the vice president of the foundation, which is chaired by Narayan Prasad Sapkota. Pravin Bhandari is the member secretary of the committee.
The establishment has 17 members. The swearing-in of the officers and members of Pragya Foundation was completed on Thursday. President Sapkota said that since Madi is a very prosperous area historically, culturally, socially and politically, he will fulfill the responsibility of exposing this matter through art and literature.
Madi Pragya members include Prem Bishta, Bipin Pathak, Indira Dahal, Shyam Dura, Parvati Vishwakarma, Surya Bahadur KC (Midnight Sun), Suman Timilsina, Izdrakumari Mahato, Satya Prakash Paudel, Sudarshan Subedi, Hiramati Mahato, Narayan Dubey and Anju Tamang. Similarly, Dipendra Paudel, the coordinator of Madi municipality's social development committee, is an ex-officio member.
Speaking at the swearing-in ceremony, Madi Municipality Mayor Tarakumari Kazi Mahato wished the foundation to be successful in highlighting Madi's creations. Madi is an area with a majority of tribal Tharu.
'Many castes have lived together in Madi Municipality. It is a museum of art and culture. Nature has helped. There are also many historical sites. Let all sides be exposed. Even by creating sub-committees, we were able to cover all areas,' said Mayor Mahato. The four-year tenure committee was formed by the executive meeting on June 16.
