The journey started from Garidhara and proceeded through Banepa via Sindhuli's Nagbeli road . For lunch we stopped at Mulkot . The resort here, which was devastated by last year's flood, has returned to its old rhythm. A sweet lassi worked to reduce the heat of the mulkot . Despite the scorching heat, our journey continued from there listening to music in a comfortable ride .
After reaching Ghurmi, the uphill journey began . Before reaching Solukhumbu, a large number of local residents welcomed them with bazagaza and food. Although it was a short welcome program, after tasting the sweet dishes like Sail, Gundrukko Achar, Mohi, we made our way to Gouritap . Due to various events on the way, when we reached Gauritap, it was already night.
Gauritap was decorated with more than a hundred tents. A campfire was organized along with potato, gundruk and millet liquor while enjoying the cool breeze coming directly from the mountains . Everyone was gossiping to each other and didn't realize the night had passed .
The next morning, with the sunrise, we enjoyed watching 6 mountains higher than 8,000 meters including Everest We also took several pictures for memories. We visited Mata Gauri, Shiva and Panchayan temples on the hill. Laureshwar Baba gave us a lot of information about that.
After a short formal program at Gauritap, we descended to Rumjatar in Okhaldhunga. From the cold climate of Gauritap to the scorching heat of Rumjatar, everyone was taken aback at once. But the welcome of more than a thousand locals present at the entrance of Rumjatar did not let the heat feel. Locals lined up to welcome us with food, flowers, garlands and Lakhe dance. We reached the Buddhist monastery there. After darshan, lunch was arranged at the reception.
A grand musical program was held that evening at Rumjatar's playground. The national artist gave a grand performance in front of thousands of Rumjatar residents. Many took pictures with their favorite artists. If they took pictures and videos, they welcomed them with applause.
As the night draws to a close, the musical program ends . On the same day, some stayed in hotels and some in homestays. Also, the next morning we returned to Kathmandu by electric vehicle.
