In South Korea, Nepali poet and artist Jeevan Khatri has been honored with a red carpet. He was given the honor at the closing ceremony of the 26th Jeonju International Film Festival last Saturday.
The documentary film "In the Land of Machines" starring Nepali poets Sunildip Rai and Dilip Bantwa along with Jeevan Khatri won a special closing time show at the festival.

Sunildeep Rai and Dilip Bantwa could not attend the red carpet.
Jeonju International Film Festival is one of the three major international film festivals in Korea. According to organizers of the 26th Jeonju International Film Festival, 2,497 films from around the world were submitted for the festival, and 224 films (148 feature films and 76 short films) from 57 countries were screened. Among them, the best two films are given red carpet honors with a special opening and closing show.
In the 10-day festival from April 30th to May 9th, the opening film Continental 25 directed by Radu Jud was selected, while the poetic documentary film 'Mashinoro Deshme' was the best and got the closing show.
