Young writer Shreyaj Subedi's first book collection of stories 'Bahurupi' has been released with a new version.
On Saturday, the book was released along with interaction with readers, book signing and sale from seven places in the capital.
Readers who reached the book stalls at Books Mandala, Chiawala Thapathali, Civil Mall Sundhara, Iplex Mall Baneshwar and Labim Mall, Chiamaya Jhamsikhel, Pimwal in Lalitpur purchased Bahrupi. The readers who reached the stall said that they were happy to see that the book was being promoted like
cinema was marketed.
Anshu, a reader who came to the stall after reading Shreyaj Subedi's story, said, 'Shreyaj's book, who always likes to use new things in writing, is also done in a new way, thousands of readers will love the book.' Bhupendra Khadka, president of Bookhill, says that the traditional style of book launch should be abandoned and new market management should be started. He says, 'Although some books are good, they have not been able to reach the target readers, if they are promoted in a new way, the readers may be interested in what is going on. That is what we have done in Bahrupi.'
Shreyaj, who always prefers to be quiet, said that he was happy that the book was launched in a different way. He said, 'Because my story has my own style, I wanted something different, today's launch is the beginning of that.'
Different from the traditional style of storytelling, there are 15 stories divided into 6 sections. Each of those stories carries the life, nature, geography, language and locality of Madhesh. Shreyaj has presented the psychology, dreams and experiences of youth in an attractive style. The market price of the 228-page book published by Bookhill as its ambitious book is 555 rupees.
