Bhupi Sherchan's daughter's memoir on the market

A memoir about the poet Bhupi Sherchan has been published in 'Bhupi: Daughter's Smriti'. Bhupi Sherchan's younger daughter Kavita Sherchan wrote the book. This book is a Nepali translation of Bhupi: A Daughters Memoir.

Bhupi, the supreme poet of modern Nepali poetry, is read with equal respect even today. His life, which advocated social justice by conveying the essence of human feelings in poetry, was spent in contradictions and mysteries. Embracing communist ideals, he adopted a luxurious and lavish lifestyle. But because of this contradiction, he had to live in more anecdotes than creation.

writer Kavita says, 'I have heard many stories about poet Bhupi Sherchan. Some truth, but a lot of fantasy! I have tried to reveal those anecdotes through the book.'

She adds, 'Despite being born in a wealthy family, why did my father embrace communist philosophy? How did the proletarian poet become a royalist over time? How was his relationship with friends and family? This book is my attempt to answer such questions and bring different parts of his life to the readers.

Neeraj Bhari, CEO of publisher Fineprint, said that in an effort to inform new Nepali readers about the great personalities of Nepali literature and to instill in them respect for our literary heritage, they have been publishing memoirs and biographies about those personalities serially. Under the same series, we have published Bhupi: In memory of daughter. Earlier we have published Parijat's biography written by Govind Giri Prerna and a memoir written by her son Padma Devkota about Ms. Parijat and Lakshmi Prasad Devkota in memory of father Lakshmi Prasad Devkota.'

Bhupi: In her daughter's memory, Kavita has made the emotional relationship with her father Bhupi, the rumors about her and personality building factors. Along with this, she has described the journey from a proletarian poet of a rich father to a socialist poet Bhupi Sherchan. This book is not only a daughter's memoir, but also a comprehensive answer to the questions related to Bhupi and a gentle clarification of the remaining doubts, said the publisher Fine Print .

This book, which helps to get to know Bhupi from the closest, claims the fine print to shed light on the inner picture of the poet Bhupi, who is bright and attractive on the outside, but who is deeply suffering inside. .
