Children's literature creator Vijayraj Acharya has been elected as the president of the Nepal Children's Literature Society in the elections held in Kathmandu on Saturday. Along with the election, a new working committee has been formed for the tenure of the society 082-83 under the chairmanship of Acharya.

Acharya was previously the general secretary of the society. From today's election, Vijayraj Neupane became the vice president, Dr. Dr. as the treasurer. Saman Shrestha and Kranti Pandey have been elected as Sita Subedi panthi and open members.

Secretary General Dr. Bishnu Bahadur KC, Bhanu Bhattarai as secretary and Arpita Shakya (painter), Yashoda Adhikari (female) and Anirudra Aryal (teacher) as members were already unopposed.

Pramod Pradhan, the ex-president of the society and children's literature historian, congratulated the officers of the new working committee and wished them more and more new work in the coming term.

Nepal Children's Literature Society, established on October 8, 2044, is a non-profit organization that has been documenting, preserving and promoting Nepali children's literature and authors.
