Nai Prakashan has decided to give the 'Nai Award' for the year 2080 to five seekers of national life dedicated to various fields of literature.
Krishna Prasad Basyal of Palpa will be dedicated with 60,000 rupees for his special contribution to the creation of poems and essays as well as translation and editing, dedicated to the growth of Nepali language literature for six and a half decades.
Literary writer Thakur Sharma Bhandari is going to be presented with the 'New Kapil Shodh Award' for enhancing the fame, dignity and glory of the new publication through the work called 'New Kirti Vivechna'. Likewise, Dhankute Kanchha of Jhapa, who is dedicated to the creation of Nepali language literature and the promotion of organizations outside the Kathmandu Valley, and who has also contributed to education services, will be dedicated to the 'New Derunikh Gaurav Award'.
It has been decided to dedicate the 'New Rama Lakshmi Award' to Rajni Thakali of Pokhara, who has been active and dedicated to the interests, dignity and organization of sexual and gender minorities.
The amount of these three prizes is fifty thousand rupees each.
Manisha Rajwanshi of Jhapa for raising the reputation of Nepal by being declared the best from Miss Heritage Petite Universe in the international beauty pageant of tribal girls from 44 countries of the world held in Thailand. The ``Nai Derunikh Pourakh Award'' worth Rs. 25,000 is going to be dedicated.
Nai Prakashan's Vice-Chancellor Mrs. Indira Prasai chaired the Nai Prakashan meeting on Sunday and said that the decision was made by Nai Member-Secretary Narendraraj Prasai.
