Pradeepraj Vant has been re-elected unopposed as the president of National Photojournalists Group Nepal (NFPJ).
The group's 27th general assembly and 13th convention held here on Saturday elected a new 15-member working committee under the chairmanship of photojournalist Vanta of the National News Committee (RASS). Lekh Bahadur Shrestha as senior vice president of the group, Chandrakala Chhetri as women vice president, Sunil Sharma as first vice president, Narayan Silwal as vice president, Ghanshyam Shrestha as general secretary, Pravin Kulung Rai as secretary and Pradeep Shrestha as treasurer.
Sushil Kumar Shrestha, Mukund Kalikote, Ramita Chunju, Harish Singh Nagal, Dipendra Maharjan, Anup Pradhan and Sagar Basnet have been selected as central members. Founded in 2053, the group is the first umbrella organization of photojournalists. President Vant informed that
group has been doing various activities for the professional rights of photojournalists, professional safety, capacity development and development of photojournalism. In the
event, 'Harigopal Pradhan Photojournalism Award' Photojournalist Ganesh Bisht, 'Adventure Photojournalism Award' Sujan Bajracharya, 'Tourism Photojournalism Award' Pravin Shrestha, 'Entertainment Photojournalism Award' Lekh Bahadur Shrestha and 'Sports Photojournalism Award' Saroj was given to Nepal.
Similarly, 'Madhav Thapa Risky Photojournalism Award Photojournalist Ramita Chunju of CIWIN Nepal from 2081, Executive Secretary General Ghanshyam Shrestha from 'Institutional NFPJ President Award 2081' and 'Best District Branch Award' were given to Ramechhap branch.
