This year's Chakrapani Remembrance Award Prof.Dr. It has been offered to Govindaraj Bhattarai. On the occasion of the 142nd birth anniversary of Chakrapani Chalise organized by Chakrapani Memorial Foundation, senior writer and renowned critic Prof. Dr. Chakrapani Smarak Award 2081 was presented to Govindaraj Bhattarai.
Chief guest of the ceremony Dr. Dwarikanath Dhungel presented an award of Rs 20,000 to the honored Bhattarai.
In the same ceremony, 30 best stories collection literature annual 'Chakrapani' was also released. According to Ramgopal Ashutosh, executive editor and member secretary of the foundation, 30 stories were published based on excellence out of the 66 stories compiled by organizing a nationwide story competition. Out of those 30, based on the scores of the judges of the competition, the best 5 storytellers were awarded the Aarushi Maharjan Merit Award with sums of 30,000, 20,000, 10,000 and 5/5 thousand.
The 30 stories selected by the nationwide story competition, language, grammar, etc., were published as special editions of literature annual, ``Chakrapani'' and the entire credit goes to the executive editor, Rammani Dhungel, president and editor-in-chief of the foundation said. In the
competition, Shivraj Shahi's photo of Jajarkot - first, Manish Kumar Sharma Samit's daughter-in-law from Bhaktapur - second, 'Bengali Baba' from Dhading's metaphorical ornament and Prakash Nepali's from Parvat - 'Melamchi Kehbi Sukch Sarkar' and Anita Panthi's 'Jugupsa' from Kathmandu. ' received the Aarushi Maharjan Merit Award. The chief guest at the
event was Dr. Dwarikanath Dhungel said that Nepali literature is world class and expected Nepali literature to win the Nobel Prize. He said that a new writer can compose excellent literature through study, sadhana and constant penance and suggested to write on universal subjects with body, mind and passion.
Senior writer and critic Prof. Dr. Kumar Koirala respected personality Prof. Dr. Highlighting Bhattarai's personality and work, Prof. Dr. Bhattarai discussed that he played an excellent role in introducing Nepali literature to the world.
Distinguished personality Bhattarai responded that he has contributed something to Nepali literature with the prose Shiromani Chakrapani Chalise Commemoration Award, he felt encouraged and got more motivation.
In the same program, Vaijnath Shubhadra Incentive Award 2080 was awarded to two students who studied in schools within Suryavinayak Municipality and obtained the best marks in Nepali subject in SEE exam-2080. In the
program, 10 poets recited their original poems.
