In my 25 years of experience, the number of mehendi users in Nepal has increased rapidly. Earlier, only 25 percent wore mehendi. Nowadays, every festival and celebration like wedding, party, Eid, Teej, Arthritis Mangal, Karva Chauth etc. cannot be done without mehendi. In every wedding, a day is set aside as Mehendi Day. Now Mehendi is in fashion even outside Kathmandu. Those who go abroad also learn this skill. I recently came to Hetaunda after giving Mehendi training to about 500 people.
