The District Administration Office, Khotang, has banned traffic from 7 pm on Saturday to 5 am on Sunday, citing the possibility of accidents and loss of life and property due to heavy rains.

The ban on the movement of vehicles, except emergency vehicles, has been imposed on the Chakhewa-Diktel-Jayaramghat road and auxiliary roads along the Mid-Hill Highway. Chief District Officer Rekha Kandel issued this information on Saturday. 

The notice also mentions that if emergency vehicles need to be driven, call Prakash Budhathoki, Chief Deputy Superintendent of Police of the District Police Office, Khotang, on his mobile number 9852805555.
