The District Police Office has formed an investigation committee after a video of a person being brutally beaten in Pathibhara Yangwarak Rural Municipality went viral on social media.
According to the office's chief, Deputy Superintendent of Police Umesh Joshi, a three-member investigation committee has been formed under the coordination of Police Inspector Jatashankar Yadav. The committee has stated that it will submit a factual report within three days.
In the video, a person is seen being tied up and brutally beaten. The voices of many others can also be heard in it.
Chief District Officer Shivraj Sedhai said that although there was a police post near the incident site, the police were not informed and the victim was sent to the hospital for treatment after the police came to know about it.
