On Sunday, a team from Police Post Dhupu under the command of Police Dilip Shiwakoti was deployed to the incident site. The police team reached the incident site and conducted an on-site inspection and collected details of the damage.
According to the locals, the landslide occurred after the ground became weak after continuous rains, causing a major impact on the fields. Farmers are worried after damage to their farmlands occurred during the preparation for paddy planting. They have demanded an assessment of the damage and provision of relief and assistance.
It has been reported that there has been no human casualties, loss of livestock or damage to homes so far. Police have urged locals to remain vigilant and not travel to vulnerable areas during the continuous rains, saying that the risk of landslides remains as the rainy season continues.
