The Koshi Provincial Government has announced a budget of Rs 40.44 billion 9.88 billion for the fiscal year 2083/84.

In the budget presented by the Provincial Government's Minister for Economic Affairs and Planning, Bidur Kumar Lingthep, in the Provincial Assembly, Rs 13.97 billion 9.3 billion has been allocated for current expenditure, while Rs 20.75 billion 9.9 billion has been allocated for capital expenditure. Similarly, Rs 150 million has been allocated for fiscal equalization grant.

The provincial government has stated that it has brought the budget by prioritizing infrastructure development, agricultural modernization, tourism promotion, education, health and employment creation. The budget has emphasized accelerating the economic development of the province, increasing production and productivity, and ensuring quality service delivery to the citizens.

The government has adopted a policy of prioritizing development programs while controlling current expenditure. The budget has continued the construction programs for roads, drinking water, irrigation, health institutions and educational infrastructure.
