Chitra Kumar Karki has been elected as the district president of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSWP) Udayapur in its first district convention. Karki was elected as the president with 113 votes, while his nearest rival Janak Basnet received 81 votes.
Kiran Raut was elected as the vice president, Surya Bahadur Lama as the secretary, and Surya Kumar Rai as the joint secretary. Kausila Karki, Amber Bahadur Tamang, Gurudev Karki and Hem Kumari Chaudhary, Sushila Thapa, Bablu Gupta, Pavitra Bhattarai, and Sunita Chaudhary have been elected as members. The convention has elected Uddhav Adhikari as the president of Constituency No. 1, and Samarth Thapa as the president of Constituency No. 2.
