Those injured in police firing in Diktel during the protest against the purchase of Lauda aircraft have complained that they have not received compensation from the state. The injured made the complaint at an interaction and reunion program organized in Diktel on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the shooting incident.

Four people were injured in police firing during a protest in Diktel during the nationwide movement against irregularities in the purchase of Lauda aircraft by the then Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala-led government.

Among them, Vidyamani Diktel English Secondary Boarding School, Grade 6, and Pratap, 8, studied in UKG at the same school.

An interaction and reunion program was organized at the Shubhadin Hotel in Diktel on Wednesday to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the shooting in the Lauda incident. The program was attended by the injured and their families, those who participated in the movement, and heads and representatives of political parties.
