The Kosi Province government has spent only one-third of the total budget till April of the current fiscal year. According to the Provincial Controller of Accounts Office, only about 13 billion rupees have been spent till April. It seems that a large part of the allocated budget is yet to be spent. The government had allocated a total of 35 billion 949 million rupees this year, including 18 billion 700 million rupees for current, 17 billion 140 million rupees for capital and 100 million rupees for financial. Of this, 7 billion 726895 thousand rupees, 5 billion 298689 thousand rupees for current, and 40 million rupees for financial, totaling 13 billion 71 million rupees, have been spent more than 13 billion 71 million rupees. The province still has 22 billion 940 million rupees to spend. The Ministry of Economic Affairs and Planning has already spent 100 million 6331 thousand rupees for current and 55 million 64 thousand rupees for capital. Similarly, the provincial legislature has spent Rs 135.995 crore on current and Rs 20.19 lakh on capital, totaling Rs 138.014 crore.
