According to the results published by the Public Service Commission this year, Jhapa has made a leap in the administrative sector. Three joint secretaries and three deputy secretaries have been recommended from Jhapa in the same year at the highest level of the highly competitive civil service.
Dr. Dijan Bhattarai of Bhadrapur has been recommended in the first order of merit in the internal competition under the gazetted first class (joint secretary) level advertisement. Vijay Kumar Sharma of Gauriganj Jhapa has also been recommended in the first order of merit in the open competition. Similarly, Tirtharaj Rai of Kamal Rural Municipality has also been recommended for the post of joint secretary of the administrative service.
Similarly, Ganga Sundas of Bhadrapur has succeeded in the first order of merit in the open competition of the Foreign Service for the deputy secretary.
Khagendra Bardeva from Jhapa in the revenue group and Parbat Giri from Arjundhara in the administration group have also been recommended for the post of Deputy Secretary through an open competitive examination. The Deputy Secretaries, Sundas and Bardeva, are also relatives of the same family.
