A 557-meter-long suspension bridge has been commissioned over the Triyuga River in Chaudandigadhi Municipality-10 of Udayapur. Former minister and Congress leader Narayan Khadka inaugurated the bridge connecting Iqrah and Shivnagar on Tuesday. The 557-meter-long bridge was completed in about 10 months with a budget of Rs 96.9 million from the Local Infrastructure Development Suspension Bridge Division under the Ministry of Urban Development. Thani Construction Service Kathmandu took over the task on Asad 11, 2082, with the aim of completing the work within two years. This bridge will make it easier for locals from Hadiya, Sundarpur, Jogidaha and others to reach Gaighat and Beltar. Due to the lack of a bridge here, locals were forced to reach Gaighat via Jogidaha and Bhulke during the rainy season.
