Two people have died after falling from a cliff. Bam Bahadur Rai, 52, and Man Kumar Rai, 40, of Pauwasera, Barapokhari Rural Municipality-5, died after falling from the cliff of Dhakale Khola around 2 pm on Saturday.
According to Ward Chairman Faudraj Rai, the khukuri fell from the cliff while they were going to cut grass in the afternoon and slipped while searching for it and fell about 300 meters down. Rai said that Bam Bahadur Rai fell first and while he was trying to catch him, Man Kumar Rai may have also been dragged down.
Their bodies are at the scene.
A team led by Constable Dhirendra Kaiwar of the Huknajor Police Post has reached the scene, while Police Inspector Bijay Lamichhane of the Area Police Office in Chisapani is also on his way to the scene, Ward Chairman Rai said. Information about how the incident happened will be available only after investigation, said Raju Bista, Information Officer at the District Police Office.
