6,706 students have been graduated in the 14th convocation of Purbanchal University.

The convocation was held on Tuesday at the university's central office, Gothgaun, Morang, under the chairmanship of the university's Vice-Chancellor, Minister for Education, Science and Technology, Youth and Sports, Sasmit Pokharel.

According to the university, undergraduate, postgraduate and MPhil students were graduated under various faculties. The university has stated that 5,288 students have graduated from the undergraduate level, 1,413 from the postgraduate level and 5 from the MPhil level.

According to the university, the highest number of students have graduated from the Faculty of Management, 2,264 students. Similarly, 1,262 students have graduated from the Faculty of Engineering, 747 from the Faculty of Science and Technology, 622 from the Faculty of Law and 624 students have graduated from the Faculty of Medicine and Allied Health Sciences.

998 students from the Faculty of Education and 184 from the Faculty of Humanities have graduated. Various medals and certificates were distributed to the best students of various faculties at the convocation ceremony.

The chief guest at the ceremony, Professor Dr. Biveklal, Director of the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh, India, said that Purbanchal University has contributed by providing theoretical and practical education to Nepali students.

The University's Vice-Chancellor, Minister for Education, Science and Technology Pokharel, said that everyone should support the government's campaign to keep the university free from party politics. More than 37,000 students are studying at the university, which was established in 2052 BS.
