Construction entrepreneurs in Dhankuta have demanded a declaration of emergency in the construction industry, saying that they are facing an unbearable financial burden. The Nepal Construction Entrepreneurs Association, Dhankuta, has stated in a statement that the construction industry has come to a standstill due to the repeated and excessive price hikes of diesel, petrol, kerosene and other fuels. The association has drawn the government's attention to solving the extreme problems faced by entrepreneurs. The price adjustment of contracts is done according to the price index of the Nepal Rastra Bank, which has led to an excessive increase in the price of construction materials in the market. 'The construction industry is facing a further crisis due to the trend of showing the price of these materials in the index, which has put a huge financial burden on construction entrepreneurs,' the statement said. 'We demand a declaration of emergency in the construction industry and immediate relief for entrepreneurs.'

The Nepal Construction Entrepreneurs Association has drawn the attention of all relevant bodies including the government, but the problem has not been resolved, according to a statement signed by the association's district president Prakash Kumar Rai Thulung. Entrepreneurs have stated that the construction industry has come to a standstill due to the high price increase of construction materials including bitumen, cement, and rods used in construction work, along with fuel materials, and the shortage of these materials in the market. The statement said that the problem seen in the crusher industry has brought the industry to a standstill, and it has been complained that the problem has not been resolved despite drawing the attention of the construction industry.
