The foundation stone of the Teachers' Welfare Savings and Loan Cooperative Society Limited (SACOS) Dhankuta, run by teachers, has been laid. The foundation stone of the building was laid on Sunday to mark the 17th foundation day of the organization. 

Dhankuta Municipality Mayor Chintan Tamang laid the foundation stone of the building to be constructed at Loksewa Chowk in Devrebas, Dhankuta Municipality-4. Mayor Tamang informed that the municipality will allocate a budget of Rs 1 million for the building. 

SACOS Chairman Ramchandra Guragain said that a one-story building is being constructed on 10 aana land at a cost of about Rs 5 million. The organization, which was established in 2066 BS, has more than one thousand members. Until now, SACOS's office has been operating in a rented house.
