A person who escaped from Jhumka Prison in Sunsari during the Gen-G movement has been arrested in Panchthar.
The arrested person has been identified as Ramesh Lawati, 35, of Tumbewa Rural Municipality-2, who is serving a prison sentence after being found guilty by the court in a case of culpable homicide.
Lawati was arrested from his own house in Mitok, Tumbewa Rural Municipality-2. He had escaped from Jhumka Prison during the Gen-G movement on Bhadra 24.
According to DSP Anish Kumar Karna of the District Police Office, Panchthar, he was arrested based on a special information.
According to DSP Karna, so far, Panchthar police have arrested 13 people who escaped from various prisons during the Gen-G movement.
