'Bihar Festival in Koshi' is going to be held in Dharan on Chaitra 10 and 11. Information about the festival was given through a press conference held on Tuesday.

The festival will be organized in an open area in Bhanuchowk. The program is being organized in collaboration with the Tourism Office Dharan, the Sunsari Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Hotel Association of Dharan and the Hotel Entrepreneurs Committee Dharan.

The festival, which is being organized with the slogan 'Nature, Culture and Business for Tourism', is being organized in collaboration with the private sector in the context of the Koshi Province government celebrating the year 2082 as the Tourism Year, said program coordinator Narayan Limbu.

He said that this year has been taken forward as the foundation year for tourism development, prioritizing the tourism sector as the main basis for the economic prosperity of the province.

The festival is especially targeting tourists coming from the Indian state of Bihar. Limbu informed that the program, which will be organized with the aim of promoting cross-border tourism in the Koshi Corridor region, will present tourism, art, culture and business at one place.

The goal is to familiarize tourists from Bihar with the culture, cuisine and local lifestyle through the festival. In addition, the organizers are confident that discussions and cooperation will increase between cross-border and local industrialists and businessmen on the possibilities of trade and investment.

Tourism workers, journalists, artists and school administrators from Bihar will participate in the program. It is said that cultural performances by artists from the two countries, art workshops, tourism promotion programs and stalls of various food dishes will be the main attractions of the festival. Although the festival is focused on Dharan, the organizers say that its aim is to promote tourism in the entire Koshi Corridor region.
