80,910 candidates are going to appear in this year's Secondary Education Examination (SEE) in Koshi Province. According to the Education Development Directorate, Dhankuta, all preparations for the examination have been completed. Among the 14 districts of Koshi Province, the highest number of candidates is 18,135 from Morang and the lowest is 1,545 from Tehrathum. There are 17,484 candidates from Jhapa, 13,978 from Sunsari, 5,710 from Udayapur and 3,826 from Ilam. Similarly, 2,889 students from Bhojpur, 2,849 from Panchthar and Sankhuwasabha, 2,636 from Dhankuta, 2,215 from Okhaldhunga, 2,857 from Khotang, 2,099 from Taplejung and 1,636 from Solukhumbu are said to be participating in the exam. Krishna Prasad Pokharel, Director of the Education Development Directorate, informed that preparations for monitoring, supervision and answer sheets have been completed. Director Pokharel informed that a budget of Rs 54 million has been allocated through the Directorate for conducting the exam. ‘All preparations for the exam have been completed,’ he said, ‘We will actively work to make the exam dignified.’ Two types of students, technical stream and general, will participate in the exam. There are 3,158 candidates for the technical stream.
12,300 more manpower mobilized
12,349 manpower will be mobilized across the province to conduct SEE. 332 examination centers have been established in the province. Of which, 332 are center heads and 546 are assistant center heads. Director Pokharel said that 7,369 people, including 4,063 inspectors and 813 examination assistants, will be deployed.
The answer sheets have reached all the examination centers and it is said that the work including orientation for preparation has been completed.
