The foundation stone of a motorable bridge has been laid on Locha Khola. The Ministry of Physical Infrastructure Development of Koshi Province is going to construct a motorable bridge on Locha Khola between Rawabesi Rural Municipality-1 Kubhind and 6 Hauchur at a cost of Rs. 28.9 million. The Infrastructure Development Office, Khotang, has informed that the contract for the bridge has been taken by RK Dendhup JV Solukhumbu. The agreement was signed on Magh 13, 2082, with the completion by Jestha 31, 2084.

Former Minister of Physical Infrastructure Development and Health of Koshi Province, Bhupendra Rai, laid the foundation stone of the bridge on Saturday.

The construction of the bridge has started on a phased budget, said Binam Dahal, head of the Infrastructure Development Office, Khotang. A budget of Rs. 15 million has been allocated for the bridge in the current fiscal year. Dahal said that the remaining budget will be provided in the next fiscal year.
