The ward chairman of Triyuga Municipality-11 in Udayapur has stopped employees who did not come to the office on time at the gate.

Ward chairman Navin Kumar Bantawa Rai said that the service flow of the ward was affected when employees arrived late and stopped employees who arrived later than 11:00 at the gate.

The ward chairman stopped the ward's computer operator, social worker and office assistant at the gate on Sunday. The computer operator had arrived at the office at 11:05, while the social worker had arrived at 1:00 in the afternoon.

The office assistant, on the other hand, informed them over the phone that she was out of the district after receiving information about the employees arriving late. He said that all three employees would not be allowed to attend and would be sent to the administration branch of the municipality.

'We had to take this step because the tendency to disobey the ward chairman and arrive late on their own has caused inconvenience to the ward residents,' said Ward chairman Rai.

He said that the late-arriving employees have been stopped at the gate and immediately informed the mayor, deputy mayor and chief administrative officer. He has demanded that such employees be taken action, transferred or dismissed, whatever they do, and that employees come to the office on time. Service recipients say that the services provided by the ward have been affected throughout the day due to the lack of employees.

Janak Dhungana, head of the administration branch of Triyuga Municipality, said that the necessary investigation and action will be taken regarding the late arrival of the employee and the impact on service delivery raised by the ward chairman.
