The 33 kV transmission line brought from Solukhumbu had broken down near the Tingla substation between Solukhumbu and Okhaldhunga around 5 pm on Saturday. The line was repaired by the Okhaldhunga distribution center staff and was restored at 10 pm, said Sujan Bastola, in-charge of Nepal Electricity Authority Buipa Sub-Station.
According to him, the lines distributed in the district have been restored to Halesi Tuwachung, Diktel Rupakot Majhuwagadhi, Aiselukhark, Rawabesi, Kepilasgadhi and other areas. The lines under Bagedhunga substation distributed in Sapsukhola Parika-5 rural municipality will be restored from noon, Bastola said.
An electricity line has been connected from Bagedhunga Sub-Station to Sapsupari Diprung Chuichumma Rural Municipality, Sakela Rural Municipality, Khotehang Rural Municipality, Barapokhari Rural Municipality and Jantedhunga Rural Municipality. Of the 5 rural municipalities, Sakela Rural Municipality has been without electricity since Chaitra 20, while the other 4 rural municipalities have been without electricity since Saturday evening, Bastola said.
The electricity supply to all 5 municipalities will be restored from Sunday afternoon, Bastola said. ‘When electricity was connected to the feeder up to Bagedhunga Sub-Station at night, it did not work, it is currently being repaired, and electricity will be available by noon,’ he said, ‘The main central transmission line has been completed, and the line within the district will be completed soon.’
