Electricity has been disrupted in Khotang. The power was disrupted due to a storm accompanied by rain on Friday evening.
Ram Bahadur Shrestha, Acting Office Chief of the Nepal Electricity Authority Office, Diktel, informed that the power was disrupted due to faults at various places along the 33 kV transmission line from Jaljale in Udayapur to Buipa in Khotang.
He said that it will take some time to repair the fault as the storm has toppled poles and wires in various areas. He said that a technical team has been deployed to locate the fault.
Communication services and office work have been affected due to the power disruption.
