The library building of Dhankuta Multiple Campus has been damaged due to the wind. The campus administration has stated that some of the 20,000 books in the library have been damaged due to water.
Campus chief Hom Bahadur Basnet said that the roof of the library was blown off by the wind, causing damage to the books and other structures. According to him, the remaining books have been moved to another building nearby. 'The structure of the library building has been completely damaged,' he said, 'Details of the damage to the books and the building are yet to be collected.'
It is said that it will take at least two weeks for the library to become operational. Students have moved books from the damaged library to another building. There are currently 1,800 students studying in the campus. In which undergraduate and postgraduate studies are conducted in the faculties of science and technology, humanities, education and management. The wind also partially damaged the CMA building of the campus.
