Halesi Tuwachung Municipality is going to provide zinc roofs to those who were left in need after the roof of their houses was blown off by the storm.
The municipality is going to provide zinc roofs to 60 families in Halesi Tuwachung Municipality.
According to Kamal Giri, spokesperson of the municipality, the storm that hit on the evening of Chaitra 2 blew off the roof of 60 houses in the municipality.
Of the houses whose roofs were blown off, 52 houses have already applied for the same, including 12 houses in Bahunidanda, 4 in Dikuwa, 28 in Chaysmitar, 3 in Dhitung and 5 in Rajapani, Giri said. Giri said that since 8 other houses were also damaged, their applications are in the process of being received.
Giri said that zinc sheets will be distributed to those whose roofs were blown off based on the technical evaluation and estimate. In addition, Giri said that 27 tarpaulins have been distributed to those who were left in need immediately. Giri said that preparations are being made to distribute the material from the disaster fund. Giri said that further details will be approved by the municipality's upcoming meeting on Chaitra 21.
