Purna Kumar Chauhan, the polling officer at Krishna Mavi Gola polling station in Bhotkhola, has been named the best polling officer.

He was honored as the best polling officer in the House of Representatives elections held on Falgun 21. He was the best among the 164 polling officers deployed across the district.

Chauhan, who is also the site administration head of Upper Arun Hydro Electric Limited, used his professional experience in election management. Under his leadership, the polling station was operated in an orderly, secure and disciplined manner.

Chief Election Officer Rajkumar Koirala presented a letter of appreciation to Chauhan on Thursday, appreciating his contribution. Koirala expressed gratitude for his contribution in making the House of Representatives elections successful, peaceful and credible. Accepting the award, Chauhan said that this achievement was the result of the cooperation of the entire team.
