One person has died in a road accident in Udayapur on Wednesday afternoon.
Bhupal Rai, 30, of Barahapokhari Rural Municipality-5, Khotang, died when a tipper hit a motorcycle at Nepaltar in Udayapurgadhi Rural Municipality-6 along the Madan Bhandari Highway.
The motorcycle (Bagmati Province 03-005 Pa 8600) heading from Gaighat to Katari was hit by a tipper (Ba 4 Kha 1409) coming from the opposite direction, seriously injuring the motorcyclist.

It is said that the police have taken the vehicle under control after the accident and are searching for the absconding tipper driver.
