Pilot Sabin Thapa, who was injured in the Air Dynasty helicopter crash, has been discharged. According to company spokesperson Balkrishna Pandit, the doctors at Hams Hospital sent him home on Wednesday evening after finding no injuries.

74-year-old Kazi Bahadur Rai, who was injured in the crash, is being treated at Hams. According to spokesperson Pandit, his condition is normal.

The charter flight that took place on Wednesday was booked a month ago. The helicopter was chartered to bring the body (coffin) of 80-year-old Manalakshmi Rai, who died in the UK, to Nepal and take it to Khotang. However, since the coffin could not be loaded onto the 'AS350 FX-2' helicopter, the chartering party decided to send the body by road on Wednesday.

The deceased's 82-year-old husband Dakmani Rai, 53-year-old son Bal Kumar Rai, 47-year-old daughter Laxmi Rai, 40-year-old relative Samala Rai and Kazi Bahadur Rai of Lalitpur were on board the helicopter.

According to Air Dynasty, the initial cause of the accident is estimated to be 'unbalance arising after landing'  The Rai family had booked the charter flight for Rs 320,000 one-way. According to the helicopter's schedule, the plan was to return to Lukla from Khotang on the same day. This is the fifth helicopter of Air Dynasty to have crashed.
