The storm has disrupted electricity in Khotang. The 33 kV transmission line brought from Jaljale in Udayapur and the 33 kV transmission line connected to Solu were damaged, leaving about 30,000 consumers in the dark since Monday evening.

Nepal Electricity Authority Technical Chief Ram Bahadur Shrestha said that it will take time to repair it as the exact location of the damage has not been identified yet. 'It seems that there has been a lot of damage, if it is repaired by the evening, it will be repaired, otherwise it may take until tomorrow,' Shrestha said, 'A team has been deployed to repair it.'
