CPN-UML Dhankuta has honored the municipalities and ward committees that garnered the most votes in favor of the party in the House of Representatives member elections. The UML District Committee organized a program and honored one municipality committee and three ward committees in the district on Sunday.

Among the seven municipalities in the district, the Chaubise Village Committee, which garnered the highest percentage of votes, was honored, informed Rabin Kattel, Secretariat Member and Head of the Publicity Department of the District Committee. According to him, the Chaubise Rural Municipality-7 Ward Committee, which garnered the most votes in favor of the UML in geography, was honored, followed by the Shahid Bhumi-6 Ward Committee, which came second, and the Pakhribas-7 Ward Committee, which came third.

The chairmen of the four UML committees, including the office bearers, were presented with certificates of appreciation by party central member and newly elected member of the House of Representatives Rajendra Kumar Rai, central member Tara Titung, provincial vice-chairman Tikaram Chemjong, district chairman Shiva Angla, and others. In the House of Representatives elections held on February 21, UML candidate Rajendra Kumar Rai was elected from Dhankuta with 18,132 votes.
