The ward chairmen of wards 1, 5, 6, 7 and 11 are protesting, alleging that the project has included only wards 2, 3 and 4 as most affected, but has neglected the nearby wards and wards where the transmission line is installed.
Earlier, the representatives of Ward 1, Ward 5 Chairman Mingmar Tamang, Ward 6 Chairman Phurbagyaljen Sherpa, Ward 7 Chairman Sonamgyaljen Sherpa and Ward 11 Chairman Tanka Karki have locked the power house of the project located in Boldo in Ward 3, saying that their demands were ignored even when they were made to the municipality, the project and the local administration.
